IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime
Redefining all-ceramics
The revolutionary material ensures exceptional quality and esthetics that are comparable to those of lithium disilicate glass-ceramic. This is made possible by the Gradient Technology – a new, innovative manufacturing technique which is used in the production of the material. It is the key to outstanding quality.
Gradient Technology (GT) – the centrepiece of IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime
The new, unique Gradient Technology (GT) is at the heart of IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime. It involves three innovative steps which allow the two raw materials 3Y-TZP (high-strength zirconia) and 5Y-TZP (high-translucent zirconia) to be combined in order to produce the exceptional properties of this revolutionary material.
- Ingenious powder conditioning allows the raw materials to be optimally combined. This results in an exceptional accuracy of fit.
- The state-of-the-art filling technology is responsible for producing a continuous, seamless progression of the shade and translucency within the material. Consequently, the restorations made with these zirconia discs demonstrate high-end esthetics.
- The high-quality processing step of "Cold Isostatic Pressing (CIP)" improves the microstructure of the material and optimizes its translucent properties. Furthermore, it allows the material to be sintered at shorter intervals (2:26 hours for single tooth crowns in Programat S1 1600).
IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime: The "One-Disc Solution" for dental laboratories
As a "One-Disc Solution", IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime is suitable for use in many different clinical situations. The innovative all-ceramic material combines high-end esthetics, high-strength and flexibility in one disc. The material covers a wide range of indications and offers a maximum of flexibility and possibilities in manufacturing ceramic restorations. IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime produces first-class results and simultaneously optimizes the efficiency and profitability of dental laboratories.
The outstanding properties of IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime at a glance:
- High-end esthetics (comparable to LS2): The first-class esthetic appearance of IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime is characterized by a lifelike continuous and seamless progression of shade and translucency and by optimized translucent properties. As a result, natural-looking restorations can be created without having to do any characterization work. These impressive outcomes are also due to the precise shading of the material.
- All indications: As a result of its high strength (biaxial flexural strength: 1200 MPa; fracture toughness2: > 5 MPa · m1/2), IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime is suitable for the fabrication of all types of restorations – from single tooth crowns to 14-unit bridges. Furthermore, the material can be applied in very thin layers on minimally prepared tooth structure.
- All processing techniques can be used: the staining, cut-back, layering and infiltration technique. IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime is compatible with the IPS e.max system.
Fast sintering of crowns and bridges
Restorations made of IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime can be fired using high-speed sintering programs. All-in-one sintering programs allow different IPS e.max ZirCAD materials to be sintered together.
- ZirCAD Prime speed sintering program3 for single tooth crowns: 2h 26min
- ZirCAD all-in-one speed sintering program3 for single tooth crowns and up to 3-unit bridges: 4h 25min
- ZirCAD all-in-one standard sintering program3 for single tooth crowns and up to 14-unit bridges: 9h 50min
Delivery forms
IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime is available in 16 A–D shades and 4 BL shades and comes in two thicknesses, 16 and 20 mm. The discs can be processed with all CAD/CAM systems that feature a disc holder with a diameter of 98.5 mm.
Indications
- Full-contour crowns
- Full-contour 3-unit to multiple-unit bridges in the anterior and posterior region
- Crown copings and bridge frameworks for 3-unit to multiple-unit bridges
